The Scout’s verdict is in for Gameweek 17 of Fantasy Premier League when Manchester City host Crystal Palace.

Pep Guardiola’s side welcome the Eagles to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 16 December, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 (UK).

The Treble winners enter the fixture following a deserved 2-1 win over Luton last time out in the league where we came from a goal down to return to winning ways.

Despite the Blues dominating large parts of the first 45, the Hatters broke the deadlock on the cusp of the interval before second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish flipped the match on its head.

However, Roy Hodgson’s side have won two and drawn one of their last five visits to the Etihad meaning we’ll have to be at our best once again if we’re to collect three points this weekend.

City last faced Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in March where Erling Haaland’s penalty was enough to secure a 1-0 win en route to a third successive Premier League crown.

With games coming thick and fast, there are plenty of points up for grabs in FPL this winter.

Jack Grealish (£7.2m) has the improving form to trouble Crystal Palace in Gameweek 17 of Fantasy Premier League.

The City winger delivered his season-high haul of 10 points in a 2-1 win over Luton Town last weekend, scoring and earning the maximum three bonus points.

He has now netted both of his goals this term in his last two outings, having emerged from the bench to net against Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 14.

The underlying numbers indicate the England international has boasted a significant goal threat recently.

His total of two big chances over his last two matches is second only to the three of Erling Haaland (£14.0m) among team-mates.

That suggests Grealish could take advantage of a Palace side who have conceded at least twice in four of their last five matches.

Odsonne Edouard (£5.5m) boasts the visitors’ main threat, having scored six of their 15 goals this term.

Elsewhere, Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure (£5.6m) and Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke (£6.6m) are low-owned assets with strong form.

The Toffees midfielder visits Burnley on the back of two goals, two goals and 19 points in his last two matches.

Solanke has averaged six points in his last five appearances ahead of a home encounter with Luton.
