In a month where City won all five games, there were numerous candidates in contention.
However, it is Guéhi, Anderson and Haaland who are now up for the public vote.
Here’s a run-down on each of our three nominees.
Marc Guéhi
Marc Guéhi enjoyed a superb September.
The England defender played in four of our five matches, and was a major reason behind the three clean sheets he helped achieve.
Guéhi was superb in our 2-0 win at Porto and impressive in the 1-0 win over Coventry City.
He was also a huge part of our rearguard action in the 1-0 win over Manchester United and a deserving candidate for our monthly award.
Elliot Anderson
Elliot Anderson has quickly become an integral member of City’s midfield.
The England star has enjoyed a superb September with a series of outstanding performances.
Industrious and inventive, Anderson has quickly become a huge crowd favourite among the City supporters.
Anderson gave a superb display in the 1-0 win at Old Trafford with excellent performances against Coventry and Porto.
Another strong candidate for the September award.
Erling Haaland
Last but not least, Erling Haaland...
Our Norwegian striker scored in all four games he featured in during September, starting with a match-winning headed goal against Coventry.
He then scored a brace in the 2-0 win away to Porto , with another clever headed goal and a neat finish in added time.
And of course, it was Haaland’s far post finish that settled the 199th Manchester derby before he scored a crucial fifth to settle an entertaining 5-3 win over Sunderland.
