Erling Haaland has stressed that City have an unbelievable mentality as we continue the fight to capture a record-breaking fourth successive Premier League title.

No other team in England has ever lifted the trophy four seasons in a row but if City beat Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham, Pep Guardiola’s men will have achieved that quality quartet of honours.

After earning another Player of the Match for his explosive performance in the 5-1 win over Wolves, Haaland pinpointed the mindset of the club as a key asset heading to the business end of the season.

“Look at the mentality of the club and what we’ve been doing for the last two years - even before that,” said the 23-year-old.

“It’s a lot. The mentality in this club is unbelievable.”

Haaland is proving talismanic once again as his four goals this weekend put him on 25 across 2023/24, five ahead of Alexander Isak and Cole Palmer, his closest rivals for the Golden Boot.

But the star forward says he’s not thinking of individual glory, just the next assignment which is Fulham next Saturday.

“I don’t think too much about that,” when asked about winning the top striker honour once again.

“It was about winning the game and the other stuff can come.

“I am confident. We have to keep going, push and focus.”
