His team will face Inter Milan in Hong Kong before matches against K-League All Stars and Atletico Madrid in South Korea.
As we’ve seen on previous tours, pre-season friendlies provide some young Blues with the opportunity to impress first-team staff in a senior environment, and with a handful of senior players not yet travelling after going deep in the World Cup, the chance to shine is that little bit bigger this summer.
Below, in no particular order, is some key information to help you get to know these more unfamilar stars that are on the plane…
Stephen Mfuni
Age: 18
Position: Centre-back/left-back
Attributes: A left-footed defender, Mfuni is strong in the air and also isn’t afraid to make a well-timed tackle. Despite his tender age, he also has an impressive ability to read play and when not defending, isn’t shy of carrying the ball forward with his confident dribbling ability and eye to make defence-splitting passes.
Previous senior experience: Aged 16 at the time, Mfuni’s first taste of senior experience was his involvement in City’s 2024 pre-season tour to the United States. 18 months later, in January 2026, Mfuni was given his competitive senior debut by Pep Guardiola in City’s 10-1 FA Cup win over Exeter City.
Mfuni, who had been working towards the moment since he joined the Club at Under-9s, would also become Guardiola’s final Academy debutant when the Catalan departed the Club in the summer after an incredible decade at the helm.
A few weeks later, Mfuni joined Championship outfit Watford on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign. The then 17-year-old instantly impressed in the second tier of English football as he went on to make eight appearances before an injury ended his term early.
Now back and fighting fit, the England youth international will be looking to impress during pre-season.
Ryan McAidoo
Age: 18
Position: Winger
Attributes: A left-footed winger who can be deployed on either flank, McAidoo is a lightning quick, aggressive, agile, powerful and clinical forward. He is a player who does his talking on the pitch with the conversation often one-sided as he dances around defenders, showcasing versatility in his play which can see him cut inside or burst to the byline.
Previous senior experience: Since his move from Chelsea to City in August 2024, McAidoo has continuously impressed for the Under-18s and more recently the EDS. His hard work saw him rewarded with his senior debut in January 2026, with McAidoo aged just 17.
It was a moment the young Blue will undoubtedly cherish with his debut topped off with a goal in our 10-1 FA Cup win over Exeter at the Etihad, with McAidoo able to enjoy the moment with his family who watched from the stands.
Kaden Braithwaite
Age: 18
Position: Centre-back/left-back/defensive midfielder
Attributes: Braithwaite is a left-footed, versatile defender who can also operate as a holding midfielder. The England youth international provides a calming and composed presence in any backline. He’s represented the Academy from Under-9s, with his aerial threat, tackling and passing some of his most eye-catching attributes. If needed, he can also drive at the opposition from his own half, helping to initiate a phase of attack.
Previous senior experience: Aged 16 years and 229 days at the time, Braithwaite became the Club’s third youngest player to make their full debut for the Club.
He played in City’s 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Watford in September 2024 in a fantastic night for the boyhood blue.
Since then, he’s continued to train with the first-team on occasion and will look to continue to learn from the senior squad in Hong Kong and South Korea.
Divine Mukasa
Age: 18
Position: Midfielder
Attributes: Mukasa is a technical, versatile and composed attacking midfielder who plays with maturity beyond his years. Good on both feet, the England youth international can drag defensive lines, find pockets of space in the opposition’s third, and when not teeing up his team-mates, also has an incredible eye for goal. Another impressive element to his game is his desire to help his team regain possession as quickly as possible, with his ability to read play another impressive attribute in his locker.
Previous senior experience: After two impressive campaigns for the Under-18s since Mukasa moved to Manchester in September 2023 from West Ham, he was rewarded with a pre-season friendly debut in our game with Palermo.
He then made his full competitive debut in City’s 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield, in which Mukasa assisted Phil Foden for our first goal of the evening.
Mukasa then spent the latter half of the campaign on loan at Championship side Leicester City. The England youth international made 15 league appearances and topped off an impressive season full of development by signing a new contract at City which will see him stay in Manchester until 2030.
Divin Mubama
Age: 21
Position: Striker
Attributes: Mubama is a strong, hard-working number nine. Out of possession, the England youth international drags defenders around the pitch, creating space for his team-mates. And with the ball at his feet, Mubama has a fierce right-footed shot and impressive ability to find himself on the end of almost any ball into the box.
Previous senior experience: Prior to his move to Manchester from West Ham, Mubama made 18 senior appearances across the Premier League, domestic cup competitions, Europa League and Conference League for the Hammers.
He continued to build on his first-team minutes, this time with City as he was handed his debut for the Club in our 8-0 win over Salford in the FA Cup in January 2025, in which Mubama also got on the scoresheet.
Ahead of the 2025/26 season, Mubama joined Championship outfit Stoke on a season-long loan as he looked to tally more senior minutes.
He went on to make 26 appearances for the Potters and scored five goals before an early end to the season for the striker due to injury. Mubama is now fit and ready to showcase his eye for goal on our pre-season tour.
Floyd Samba
Age: 17
Position: Midfielder
Attributes: Samba is a strong, technical and clever midfielder who prides himself on his impressive ability to find pockets of space that help City progress up the pitch. He is a relentless runner who tracks back to help his defenders and overload the opposition’s box when on the attack. From clinical passing to a confidence to go for goal, he is a formidable force in our engine room.
Previous senior experience: Our pre-season tour will be Samba’s first experience of first-team football since he was named on the bench for City’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Salford.
This time, the midfielder will be working hard to earn minutes in Maresca’s engine room.
Mamad sangare
Age: 19
Position: Striker/winger
Attributes: The France youth international is a quick, dynamic, technical forward player who showcases his versatility in his ability to play across the front line. For City, he has featured predominantly as a number nine and in those 30 appearances across all competitions, Sangare scored 15 goals in an impressive first season in blue.
Previous senior experience: After developing his craft in youth set-ups at Racing Club de France, Montrouge FC 92 and PSG before his move to Manchester, Sangare’s first taste of senior football will come during our 2026 pre-season tour. He’ll be eager to leave his mark in the final third in our games against Inter Milan, K-League All Stars and Atletico Madrid.
Jaden Heskey
Age: 20
Position: Midfielder
Attributes: Heskey is an energetic, hard-working midfielder who leads by example. His profound ability to read play allows him to intercept the opponent’s attacks, help initiate or switch play when his team-mates are in possession and find key pockets of space to manoeuvre in. Traditionally a striker, before his transition to the engine room in 2023/24 for the Under-18s, Heskey also has an impressive eye for goal.
Previous senior experience: Since joining City at Under-9s, Heskey has worked tirelessly to represent the Club at senior level. His first taste of first-team football was during our 2024 pre-season tour.
He was patient for a second opportunity to represent Pep Guardiola’s side and rewarded his first-team competitive debut in September 2025 when he featured as a second half substitute, alongside his younger brother Reigan, in City’s 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield Town.
Heskey continued to gain more senior experience, this time on loan at Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, who he joined in January, and went on to make 20 appearances for.
Matty Henderson-Hall
Age: 19
Position: Full-back/winger
Attributes: Strong on both feet, Henderson-Hall is a versatile blue who can operate at full-back or higher up on the wing. The defender is strong and quick, which makes him difficult to take the ball from when he charges up the wing with the ball. He can pass the ball quickly and efficiently and always shows a desire to help City find the back of the opposition’s net when not focused on defending our own.
Previous senior experience: Another player who has had the opportunity to train with the first-team on occasion, our pre-season tour to Asia will be Henderson-Hall’s first time being fully embedded with the squad for a prolonged period.
Xavier Parker
Age: 16
Position: Midfielder
Attributes: At just 16 years old, Parker is an extremely versatile midfielder who can operate as a 10, eight or even lead an attacking line like we have seen him do numerous times for the Under-18s in 2025/26. He brings energy, strength, eye-catching passing, shooting and an impressive ability to drive with the ball to any position he plays in.
Previous senior experience: The youngest Academy star on tour, this will be Parker’s first experience with the senior squad in which he will look to learn from the trip to Hong Kong and South Korea as much as possible.
Jack Wint
Age: 19
Position: Goalkeeper
Attributes: Wint is an agile, impressive shot stopper who has developed his craft at the Academy since Under-9s. Like any City goalkeeper, he has eye-catching distribution of the ball and is a commanding figure within the 18-yard box.
Previous senior experience: Wint has trained with the first-team on occasion throughout 2025/26, but this will be his longest period of time around the senior squad in which he will look to absorb as much information as possible.
Jeremy monga
Age: 17
Position: Winger
Attributes: Monga’s pace, dribbling, power and eye for goal have been key attributes for Monga through every age group before he rapidly progressed to Leicester’s Under-21s side at just 15 years old.
Previous senior experience: With his Premier League debut for Leicester City in April 2025, Monga became the second-youngest player to receive minutes in the English top-flight and went on to total seven league appearances in 2024/25. Last season he played 27 times for the Foxes in the Championship.
