ALL SMILES: The Portuguese midfielder looks delighted at getting into the swing of things at City

ALL SMILES: The Portuguese midfielder looks delighted at getting into the swing of things at City

It was down to work for summer signing Matilde Fidalgo and Gemma Bonner this week as two of the key members of Nick Cushing’s City squad made an early start to pre-season training.

The majority of City’s players – excluding the players who were on World Cup finals duty this summer – report back for pre-season training on Monday.

But Portuguese international Fidalgo – who joined City from Sporting Braga earlier this summer – was at the CFA this week for her first training session, along with England international Gemma Bonner, to help get their individual pre-seasons off to a flying start.

And Club photographer Tom Flathers was on hand to see the duo go about their first sessions ahead of pre-season proper.
