Esme Morgan will spend the 2019/20 season on loan at Everton.
The promising young defender has agreed a move to Willie Kirk’s outfit, where she will have the opportunity to gain more experience in the FA Women’s Super League.
Still only 18, the lifelong City fan has already clocked up 20 appearances for Nick Cushing’s side over the past two campaigns and played her part in last season’s double cup win.
Morgan joined the Club at U15 level and progressed through the Regional Talent Centre and Development Squad to make her first team debut in the summer of 2017 at the age of 16.
She’s been part of the senior set-up ever since, playing right across the defensive line and her progress was rewarded in June, when she signed her first professional contract, which keeps her at City until 2022.
A regular in England’s junior set-up, Morgan captained the U19 side at this summer’s European Championships and heads to Merseyside as Kirk’s sixth signing ahead of the new campaign.
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Esme the best of luck during her loan spell at Everton.
