CENTURION: Kosovare Asllani

Manchester City Women forward Kosovare Asllani celebrated her 100th cap for Sweden on Thursday evening in Gothenburg.

Asllani, who joined the Blues in January 2016 from Paris St Germain, played in Sweden’s 1-0 defeat to USA to complete a century of caps for her country.

Asllani later said on Instagram: “Thanks to everyone that came out to support us and created a great atmosphere last night. I feel very proud to now have earned 100 caps. Thanks for your kind messages!

Former Man City Women star Carli Lloyd was in the US team that secured the win that was settled by Rose Lavelle’s winner on 56 minutes.

Man City Women are delighted to announce Danish defender Mie Jans will join the Club on 1 July.

The 23-year-old will join the Club from Brondby IF, having played against the Blues in the 2016/17 Champions League campaign.
