TOO HOT TO HANDLE: City have been in blistering form this season

A historic day made for some memorable celebrations as Manchester City lifted the FA Cup trophy at Wembley Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s side rounded off a 61 game season in emphatic style, hitting six without reply against Watford to seal a clean sweep of all four major trophies in the English men’s game.

Braces from Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling and one apiece from Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva saw off the Hornets as City made history to become the first side to lift the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Community Shield in one season.

The players, whose season began a whopping 287 days ago, celebrated with customary and expected delight in front of the travelling City fans to bring the curtain down on a truly remarkable campaign.
