90Min: Erling Haaland Under Consideration by Man City

Writes Tom Gott: “Manchester City are considering Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland as a long-term replacement for club legend Sergio Agüero.

“Agüero will be allowed to leave City of his own accord when the time is right, and a source has confirmed to 90min that Haaland is one forward the reigning Premier League champions have their eye on.

“City are in touch with his father and agent, Alf-Inge Haaland, who spent three years on the books at the club between 2000 and 2003, and will hope to use their existing good relationship to their advantage.”

Metro: Liverpool and Man City urged to rescue ‘scapegoat’ Paul Pogba from Man Utd

Darren Bent: “When you talk about Manchester United selling him, I think there’s going to be a whole host of teams lining up to get him.

“I know people are saying they’re going to have to take a loss on him, but I can see him going pretty much anywhere he wants – certain teams in the Premier League by the way.

“When someone like a Paul Pogba comes available on the market, and let’s not forget he’s only 26, there’s going to be so many takers.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if teams like Manchester City come in for him. I can see him getting in Liverpool’s team, too.”
