With the big game looming large, Friday’s media roundup is unsurprisingly focused on Saturday’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

Ahead of the fixture, two pundits have had their say on this clash between the Premier League’s first and third placed clubs.

Ex-Chelsea man Graeme Le Saux has been explaining who his former side need to watch out for, while Mark Lawrenson can see similarities between a player in each camp.

We’ll begin with the former England left-back, who has spoken glowingly of City’s attacking capabilities.

FourFourTwo has the story, in which Le Saux says: “I think when you look at City’s creativity, I think you could name probably five players that you need to watch out for, because if you keep one of them quiet then you’ve still got to look after the other four.

“Kevin De Bruyne for me is a tremendous talent, a world-class player. He plays with a grace and intelligence; he understands when to dribble, when to pass, what’s behind him, what’s to the side of him, he links play up very well.

“Him and David Silva really do have a nice partnership.”

Meanwhile, Lawrenson has completed his weekly pre-match predictions for the BBC and has explained why he thinks ’s versatility could prove as useful to City as Victor Moses’ has for Chelsea.

He said: “They are short of cover for him (Mendy) at left-back but Fabian Delph did well against Shakhtar Donetsk and he could turn out be their equivalent to Chelsea’s Victor Moses.

“When Moses started playing right wing-back last season I just thought that, as a winger, he would be good going forward but he has clearly taken to the defensive aspect of that role too.

“It could be the same for Delph. As a central midfielder going to play on the left, it will feel to him like he has loads of time on the ball.

“He is not getting many games in midfield for City so he will be happy to play there - and I think will do really well.”

That’s all for today, Blues, but stick with us for Pep Guardiola’s pre-match press conference later today.
