We're slap bang in the middle of the international break, so City-centric news is a little harder to come by than usual.

But fear not, we’ve cast our media-watch net further afield and fished out a few items for your Friday morning perusal.

First to Germany and Leroy Sane, whose eye-catching performances in September for City have not gone unnoticed by national team boss Joachim Low.

The manager said ahead of Germany’s win over Northern Ireland: “He already has something extraordinary in the game and that speed that is needed internationally.

“I was in Manchester last week and saw the game against Crystal Palace. Leroy has played very efficiently and has developed a lot.”

The Daily Mail have also picked up on the fact that Sane was clocked as the fastest player ever in the Premier League against Chelsea.

They report: “Opta has been recording how quickly Premier League players move since 2014 and Sane has now set a benchmark that will be difficult to beat.

“The second-fastest speed this season was also clocked in the last round of fixtures - Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt ran at 35.42 km/h (22mph) in their 4-0 defeat at Manchester United.

“And Sane isn’t the only speed merchant in Pep Guardiola’s side - Kyle Walker recorded 35.16 km/h (21.85mph) earlier in the campaign.

“Others who feature in this season’s top 10 include Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, Oliver Burke of West Brom, Kiko Femenia of Watford, Laurent Koscielny of Arsenal and Sadio Mane of Liverpool.”

In case you missed it, Leroy’s turf-scorching performance didn’t go unnoticed here at City either:

Didn’t think a fox could run at 30mph did you? Think on...

Back to the football and Patrick Roberts, who is on loan at Celtic and has been speaking to CelticTV.

“He’s been good ever since he came here and I can only get better for him,” Roberts said.

“The manager knows what I bring, he knows the type of player I am and that’s why he’s brought me to the club.”

The Alexis Sanchez speculation rumbles on, with PSG and City still the two chief protaganists.

Goal.com’s Chris Wheatley writes: “Alexis is able to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January and Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in the 28-year-old. Manchester City are still the favourites to secure the Chilean’s signature.”

Finally, news of a new step in ex-City defender Kolo Toure’s career.

“Kolo Toure has been appointed as an assistant coach to the Ivory Coast national team,” report Sky Sports.

“The former Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City defender will work under ex-Belgium coach Marc Wilmots, the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has announced.

“The posting comes soon after the 36-year-old, who retired from playing in the summer, took up a role on the backroom staff of his last club Celtic.”

That’s your lot for today, we’ll be back at the same time, same place tomorrow!
