Manchester City’s ‘aura’, the midweek Carabao Cup tie with Wolves and Ederson’s bravery are all up for discussion in Monday morning’s newspapers.

We’ll begin with the latter, as the Brazilian shot-stopper again caught the eye against Burnley, not just for the quality of his performance, but for his willingness to put his body on the line.

It’s nothing unusual for the 24-year-old, who told the Manchester Evening News: “It’s the way I play - if I have to put my hand, my head, my foot there to help the team that’s what I’m going to do.

“It’s part of the game, those situations in the box. But nothing serious happened.

“I have always played the same way. I have no fear of anything.”

Meanwhile, Martin Keown believes the Blues’ scintillating run of form is giving them an edge even before games get underway.

Writing in his Daily Mail column, the former player turned pundit, said: “Manchester City have the greatest chance of emulating Arsenal’s Invincibles of 2003-2004.

“City are certainly developing an invincible aura. They are winning matches in the tunnel.

“Every emphatic victory adds a layer of superiority that causes opponents to melt when they line up before a game.

“What City are doing now is breathtaking. They have the calibre to become the next Invincibles, but there is still a long race to be run.”

Finally, Wolves striker, Leo Bonatini, has called for his side to have no fear ahead of Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup fourth round clash at the Etihad Stadium.

The Molineux outfit are currently top of the Championship and the on-loan forward insists they are confident.

He told The Telegraph: “We don’t need to be scared of them (Manchester City).

“It’s just football, it’s 11 against 11 and we know what we can do.

“It will be a tough game for us and for them as well. We will go there and try to play our football.

“We will try to do our best and have done well until now, so we need to be confident because if we are not, we know how it will be.”
