According to several reports, City are determined to bag Bundesliga pair Leroy Sane and Patrick Aubameyang.

We begin with the Mirror, who believe that City have identified the Schalke youngster as one of this summer’s main targets.

They write: “Manchester City are pushing ahead with their bid to sign Germany’s £40million-rated rising star Leroy Sane.

“New City boss Pep Guardiola wants to sign Schalke midfielder Sane, who he has hailed as the most exciting talent in German football, this summer.

“But City accept they will have to wait until Euro 2016 - where Sane is representing Germany – is over if they are to clinch his signing.

“City are determined to land Sane, despite new Schalke boss Markus Weinzeirl urging the in-demand 20-year-old to stay put.”

On Aubameyang, German outlet Read Bundesliga write: “Manchester City have agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign highly-rated striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“Romano also says that it is Aubameyang’s contract demands are the current sticking point in the deal, with the Gabon international requesting €12m (£9.2m) per year and his agent wanting €10m (£7.7m) of the proposed transfer fee

“Aubameyang scored 25 goals in 29 league appearances last season and has been the subject of interest from Real Madrid.

“The 27-year-old could follow former teammate Ilkay Gundogan from Dortmund to Manchester after the midfielder became the first signing of Pep Guardiola earlier this month.

“If City meet the agent’s and player’s demands, the £55m paid for Kevin De Bruyne last summer could be surpassed and the deal could become a club record transfer.”

We’ll turn our attention to Nolito in a little while, but elsewhere it’s been widely reported that Kelechi Iheanacho won’t be travelling to this summer’ Olympic Games which would have overlapped the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Own Goal Nigeria write: “Kelechi Iheanacho has shunned the Nigeria U-23s who are set to feature in the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympics and will instead focus on forcing his way into new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola team.

“19 year old Iheanacho broke into the first team of Manchester City last season during the reign of Manuel Pellegrini as coach but with new manager Pep Guardiola linked with forwards like Nolito and Leroy Sane, the Nigerian will face a fierce battle to keep his spot in the team.

“Iheanacho opted to remain at Manchester City to have a head start ahead of Sergio Aguero who is set to arrive late for pre-season due to his involvement with Argentina at the ongoing Copa America and even if Guardiola end up signing Sane and Nolito they will also arrive late.

“Also manager Pep Guardiola warned he wants the full complement of his players for pre-season starting from July 1st.

“He will miss most of City’s pre-season games if he opts to go to the Olympics with Nigeria as the events starts on the 3rd of August and if Nigeria progress from their group he will miss the start of the English Premier League.

“If Nigeria progressed to the medal stages he would miss the first leg of Manchester City Champions League play-off.”

The Daily Star believe that if Nolito signs for the Blues, another Spaniard could be moving out of the Club.

They report: “Jesus Navas is set to spark a bidding war between Inter and AC Milan, according to reports.

“Calcio Mercato say the Italian sides are both ready to make a move for the Spanish winger, who only has one year left on his contract with Manchester City.

“Pep Guardiola is not thought to favour the 30-year-old, who could be set for a reunion with former manager Roberto Mancini at Inter.

“Their report suggests Inter are looking for a winger while AC Milan value Navas’ international experience.”

Finally, the Daily Mail are one of numerous newspapers who believe Nolito to City will happen imminently.

They, among others, suggest: “Spain international Nolito has agreed to join Guardiola’s revolution on a three-year deal as soon as Euro 2016 ends.

As Sportsmail revealed on Sunday the Manchester City manager had told City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain to close a deal for the Celta Vigo forward as soon as he became aware Barcelona were wavering in their pursuit.”

And that’s your lot for today – more of the same tomorrow….
