Pedro is the latest high-profile player to be linked with City this morning.

The Barcelona winger recently signed a contract extension at the Camp Nou but has reportedly had a change of heart, with the Mirror claiming the Blues will make a move if any encouragement is given.

They report: “Liverpool and Manchester City are among the club’s interested in Pedro, with PSG and Inter Milan also monitoring his situation at the Nou Camp.
“Pedro would prefer a move to the Premier League, which would appear to give Liverpool and City the edge in their pursuit of the forward.

“In 318 appearances since his Blaugrana debut in 2008, Pedro has had a direct involvement in more than one goal every two games for the club, netting 98 times and racking up 63 assists.”

Decent record.

The Daily Express – and several other papers – believe City will complete their first piece of business this summer at some point in the next day or so.

Tipped as ‘one for the future’ the alleged target is Bursaspor’s 18 year-old striker Enes Unal and the report reads: “City are on the brink of signing teenage Turkish star Enes Unal.

“According to reports, City have agreed a £2m fee for the Bursaspor striker, who has been branded the one of the brightest talents in Europe.

“His agent said: ‘Bursaspor have given Enes permission to join Manchester City and undergo a medical. We are in contact with the club.’

“Unal holds the record for the youngest player to score in the Turkish Super Lig, at the age of just 16.

“He had an impressive record for Turkey’s U16s, netting 24 times in 25 games and quickly made the progression to the national U21 side.

“The 18-year-old has netted four times in 37 games for Bursa, after being promoted to the first team with a stunning return of 170 goals in just 102 matches for the reserves.”

Finally, Joe Hart has taken part in a Sport Magazine Q&A, showcased by TalkSPORT. Here’s a couple of the City keeper’s 10 answers.

“Who is the most talented opponent you have ever faced?”

‘I’ve played against the top two players in the world in Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. But from recent experiences, I’d say Messi is the most skilful player I’ve ever faced. Just for the fact that every time he gets the ball he affects the game – and, most of the time, he ends up winning the game for his team.’

“What about the most gifted teammate you have played alongside?”

‘Sergio Aguero, our striker at City, is probably the most naturally gifted. Him or David Silva.’”

That’s it for today – more of the same tomorrow.
