NEW DEAL: Patrick Roberts has extended his City contract

NEW DEAL: Patrick Roberts has extended his City contract

Patrick Roberts has signed a new two-year contract extension with Manchester City, keeping him at the Club until 2022.

He will now join newly promoted Norwich City on July 1 on a season-long loan deal as he continues his development in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old spent two-and-a-half seasons on loan with Celtic where he scored 18 goals in 79 appearances and helped the Bhoys to three Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups.

He then spent last season on loan at Girona, making 12 appearances in La Liga.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to take the opportunity to wish Patrick all the best on his move to Norwich and we look forward to seeing his development continue at close quarters.
