Angelino was born José Ángel Esmorís Tasende on 4 January 1997.

He hails from the northwest Spanish town of Coristanco
Angelino started his youth career with Deportivo La Coruna where he would spend six years from the age of 10.

During his time with Deportivo, Angelino was continually linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, so highly rated was the youngster.
After joining City in 2014, he won the MCFC EDS Player of the Year in his first full campaign.
He has had four loan spells around the world in his short career – in America with New York City FC; in Spain with Girona and Majorca; and in Holland with NAC Breda.
He was just 17 when he appeared on City’s bench as an unused sub against Sunderland in 2014
Angelino made his City debut away to Aston Villa in 2016 aged 19 – he replaced Gael Clichy on 81 minutes as City went on to win 4-0.
In 2016, Angelino made only his second City appearance when he started the 2-1 EFL Cup win at Swansea City.
He has twice been voted on the Eredivisie Team of the Year in 2018 and 2019.
In total, Angelino has made 109 appearances - mostly with NAC Breda and PSV - scoring four goals.
