All five were on the bench for Wednesday’s win over West Ham, but Pep Guardiola has opted for a more experienced side for tonight’s game in Shanghai.
New signing Rodri keeps his place operating at the base of midfield, as do youngsters Ian Poveda-Ocampo and Adrian Bernabe.

City tactics
It’s 4-3-3 for City, the formation that has formed the basis for our glittering success under Guardiola.
Claudio Bravo starts in goal, with Stones and Aymeric Laporte at centre-half. Danilo and Zinchenko will look to get forward down the flanks.
Rodrigo will sit just in front of the back four, De Bruyne and Bernabe just ahead of him.
And it’s a front three of Poveda, Sane and Sterling, with the England man likely to play through the centre.
Pep
“We are taking it seriously as much as possible. We are here against an opponent who did incredibly well last season.
“Part of our preparation is to avoid injuries and try to start reaching our best level as soon as possible.
“We know how they play and how good they are. It’s just a friendly game but we will try to play a good game and make our principles.
“We try to sleep during the night. We want to survive! We have incredible jet lag and we cannot train. We need to keep energy for the matchday.
“What we will do this season, we have started to do against West Ham and we will try to do it here.”
