Pep Guardiola hailed the impact of Leroy Sane after the German’s sparking display from the bench during City’s impressive 4-1 Premier League Asia Trophy success over West Ham in Nanjing.
The German winger came on as a second half substitute in our Asia Tour opener and immediately caught the eye with his work-rate, potent attacking threat and vision, with the 23-year old producing a superb assist for one of Raheem Sterling’s brace of goals.
And afterwards the City manager was keen to praise Sane’s display and again reiterated he was keen to see the player further his development and extend his stay at the Club.
"He's a great player with incredible quality,” said Guardiola.
“I want people to want to stay here - the Club is there so the desire to have him is always there.
"The club made him an offer for the past year.
"I have said many times that we want people to be happy here and we want to help him to reach his potential.”
