City Social: Mini Sterling and #10YearChallenge

City Social is back for 2019!

It’s been a busy start to the year so far, with plenty of goals, awards and milestones catching our eye.

Here, we take a look at some of our favourite social media moments from recent weeks…

Young Guns

First up, we begin with our Under-21s’ Checkatrade success.

Paul Harsley’s side have reached the quarter-final and are set to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in the final eight of the competition.

Ian Poveda’s goal against Barnsley in the Round of 32 particularly caught our eye, and did so of the media too!

Take a look and see what you think…

And if that impressed you, then so with Luke Bolton’s terrific strike against Rochdale in our most recent test!

Mini Sterling

Is there anything cuter than Raheem Sterling’s son, Thiago, playing football?

Oh, and how good is his touch?! Future star in the making, we think!

Goals, goals, goals

7-0 and 9-0 for Pep’s side, 4-2 for our Under-21s in the Checktatrade Trophy and 7-1 in the Continental Cup – it’s fair to say we haven’t been short of goals in recent weeks!

No surprise that you guys are loving it!

Great to see Yaya Toure on our screens for our Premier League match against Wolves. Seems like he enjoyed it too…

Roma awards

Huge congratulations to Edin Dzeko – as he has been named Roma’s Player of the Year!

City centurion

Another Blue hit their City 100 recently, when Demi Stokes ran-out for the 100th time in a City shirt against West Ham in our FA Women’s Super League clash.

What an achievement. Well done, Demi!

Golden boot success

More congratulations are in order as Tessa Wullaert was awarded the Belgian Golden Boot for the second time.

Our attacking midfielder secured the award back in 2016 and again for this year.

Our very own Nicolas Otamendi got in on the social media act with his 10-year transformation picture.
