HOW ABOUT THAT? Oleksandr Zinchenko is all smiles after his stunning goal

HOW ABOUT THAT? Oleksandr Zinchenko is all smiles after his stunning goal

Oleksandr Zinchenko insisted that his stunning long-range strike was intentional as Manchester City recorded a remarkable 9-0 win over Burton in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at the Etihad.

The Ukrainian curled a spectacular 25-yard effort over Burton goalkeeper Bradley Collins to make the score 4-0 in the 37th minute following a fifth minute Kevin De Bruyne header and Gabriel Jesus brace.

Jesus contributed another two alongside additional goals from Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez, which included four in a 13-minute period around the hour mark to add further gloss to an already convincing score-line.

Zinchenko jokingly refuted claims that his goal was accidental before praising the team’s approach to the game, even when the result was beyond doubt:

“Was my goal a cross!? A little respect please!," he teased.
