Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte and David Silva have been nominated for the October Etihad Player of the Month award.

The poll is now open and fans are invited to vote for the player they feel made the biggest impact over the course of another excellent month for City.

Sergio Aguero won both the August and September editions, but with several Blues in top form, this vote promises to be a difficult decision.

Mahrez is enjoying a sparkling run, having bagged five goals in his last eight games, including a crucial winner against Tottenham on Monday night and a worldie in the triumph over Burnley.

Our summer recruit is really starting to find his feet for his new club, evident with a number of Man of the Match displays. He also provided an assist in the Champions League at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Laporte has hit the headlines as one of the Premier League's most consistent players. He has featured in every single one of the Blues' games (bar the cup victory at Oxford) and set a new record in the win over Spurs, boasting the longest unbeaten run (19 games, 17 wins, two draws) in Premier League history.
