When and where is the Champions League draw?

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW: Who will City face in the 2018/19 group stage?

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW: Who will City face in the 2018/19 group stage?

Manchester City are set to embark on an eighth-consecutive Champions League. Here's everything you need to know ahead of Thursday's group-stage draw.

When and where?

The group stage draw will take place on Thursday 30 August at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco at 5:00 p.m. UK time (6.00 p.m. CET)

Which pot are City in?

The champions of the top six associations, according to the 2017 coefficients, are in pot one together with the holders of the Champions League and Europa League. Seedings for remaining teams are determined by current club coefficients.

The 26 teams given direct entry to the group stage under the new competition system are joined by the six winners of the play-off ties.

Clubs' coefficients are determined either by the sum of all points won in the previous five years or by the association coefficient over the same period – whichever is higher (under a new system introduced for 2018/19 onwards).

Pot 1: Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern München, Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Lokomotiv Moskva

Pot 2: Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Manchester United, Shakhtar Donetsk, Benfica, Napoli, Tottenham Hotspur, Roma

Pot 3: Liverpool, Schalke, Lyon, Monaco, Ajax, CSKA Moskva, PSV Eindhoven, Valencia

Pot 4: Viktoria Plzeň, Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Young Boys, Internazionale Milano, Hoffenheim, Crvena zvezda, AEK Athens

Who will City face?

No team can play a club from their own association and, based on decisions taken by the UEFA Executive Committee, clubs from Russia and Ukraine must not be drawn in the same group.

Where can you watch the draw?

The draw will be livestreamed on Uefa.com and live coverage will begin on BT Sport 2 at 4:30pm.
