DOUBLE: Silva scored another two for Spain

DOUBLE: Silva scored another two for Spain

David Silva scored twice as Spain beat Costa Rica in Malaga on Saturday evening.

Goals from Jordi Alba and Alvaro Morata put the hosts 2-0 up, before Silva’s quick-fire double made the game safe.

And Andres Iniesta added a fifth as Julen Lopetegui’s side ramped up their preparations for Russia 2018.

Silva is fourth on Spain’s list of all-time leading goalscorers with 35, and is now just three short of third-placed Fernando Torres and nine away from legendary Real Madrid striker Raul.

Spain take on Russia next in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
