Pep Guardiola makes five changes for today's trip to Burnley.

With five changes made from the team that drew 1-1 with Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek, it's arguably unlike any other side the Blues have fielded this season.

Rested and Injured

John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan do not feature in the matchday squad today with Pep deciding to rest the pair who both featured in midweek. Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph remain unavailable.

Ferna takes captain's armband

Fernandinho will take the captain's armband this afternoon and is likely to forge an all-Brazilian anchor role with Fernando.

That means Yaya Toure will have a more advanced, creative role as part of a three-pronged attacking midfield with will see him flanked by Raheem Sterling and Nolito.

In defence, Aleks Kolarov again gets the nod in central defence alongside Nicolas Otamendi, with Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna recalled.

Yaya unleashed?

Yaya's two-goal haul at Crystal Palace last weekend has seen him thrust into a more attacking role against Burnley. With Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva on the bench, the creative central role will fall squarely on his shoulders at a ground that has generally been a happy hunting ground for City over the years.
