Patrick Roberts helped Celtic retain the Scottish Premiership title to end the first part of his loan at Parkhead in fine style.

The winger grabbed two superb goals early in the Bhoys' 3-2 win at home to Aberdeen that clinched a fifth successive Scottish title.

The 19-year-old has won many admirers north of the border, and has another 12 months remaining on his deal.

Jack Byrne made many friends with some excellent displays for Cambuur in the Dutch Eredivisie this term, although the Irish midfielder could not prevent his side from dropping out of the Dutch top flight.

He sat out their final game of the campaign - and seemed to be enjoying the view from the stands -  but there looks like there is plenty to come from Jack in the future.

Another loanee to impress away from the club is defender Jason Denayer, although the Belgian could not stop Galatasaray from slipping to a 1-0 defeat by Besiktas.

But there was better news for midfielder Seko Fofana, who helped Bastia to a 1-0 win at home to Angers in France's Ligue 1.
