City will travel to Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round.
Villa beat League Two side Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 after a third round replay and will now take on the Blues for a place in the last 16.
The date of the tie at Villa Park will be announced shortly, but it will take place on either 30/31 January or 1 February.
Goals from Ciaran Clark and Idrissa Gueye in the final 15 minutes were enough for Remi Garde’s men to progress and the Blues will now face former stars Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair, while Fabian Delph will again return to his former stomping ground.
Villa and City drew 0-0 in the November Premier League clash in Birmingham. Ticket details will be released shortly.
City and Villa have met several times in the FA Cup.
In 1994, the Blues edged a 1-0 win at Maine Road but perhaps the most memorable meeting was in the FA Cup fifth round at Villa Park in 2006 when a Micah Richards header deep into injury time earned City a 1-1 draw before the Blues won the replay 2-1 at the Etihad.
In 2011, teams met again at the Etihad with City triumphing 3-0 with goals from Yaya Toure, David Silva and Mario Balotelli - on the way to winning the trophy for the first time since 1969.
The earliest meeting between the teams was in 1900 with the Blues held 1-1 at Hyde Road before losing the return 3-0 in Birmingham.
In 1910, City beat Villa 2-1 away and then beat the Midlands side 1-0 at Hyde Road in 1915. In 1934, City thrashed Villa 6-1 in the semi-final at Leeds Road, Huddersfield - again on the way to winning the trophy.
Villa got a little payback in 1938, winning 3-2 at Villa Park - but the teams wouldn't resume battle in the FA Cup for 56 years.
Overall, there have been 10 meetings between City and Villa with the Blues winning six, drawing two and losing two.
The fourth round ties will be played over the weekend of 29 January-1 February.
