Toure, Sterling, Otamendi among City starting XI

LOOKING UP: Raheem Sterling points to the sky in celebration

LOOKING UP: Raheem Sterling points to the sky in celebration

Pep Guardiola has made five changes from the side beaten by Leicester City.

Yaya Toure, Gael Clichy, Nolito, Raheem Sterling are all recalled with Nicolas Otamendi returning from suspension.

Starting XI and bench:

Bravo, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Kolarov, Clichy, Gundogan Yaya Toure, Sterling, De Bruyne, Silva, Nolito

Subs: Caballero, Sagna, Fernando, Navas, Stones, Sane, Iheanacho

Blues to go 4-1-4-1?

On paper, it looks as though City will keep a fluid formation but start as 4-1-4-1 with Ilkay Gundogan in front of the back four and Nolito spearheading the attack.

Sterling and De Bruyne should provide the width with David Silva and Toure behind Nolito.

That said, Yaya could start alongside Gundogan in a 4-2-3-1 formation – there will no doubt be one or two permutations depending on how the game flows.

Watford starting XI:

Gomes, Janmaat, Prödl, Britos, Holebas; Pereyra, Guedioura, Capoue; Amrabat, Ighalo, Sinclair.
