Aguero crowned Premier League king

Sergio Aguero is the 2014/15 Premier League Golden Boot winner.

With 26 league strikes, Kun ended five goals clear of this closest rival Harry Kane who ended the campaign on 21 goals.

It is only the second time a City striker has won the coveted award with fellow Argentine Carlos Tevez achieving the feat in 2010/11.

Sergio scored his 99th and 100th for the Club in the 4-2 defeat to Manchester United– which was also the beginning of an explosive end to the campaign which saw him add another against West Ham and further efforts against Aston Villa and Spurs as he pulled clear of the pack.

A goal against Southampton took his tally to 32 for the season in all competitions is his best yet and the Golden Boot was presented to him after Sunday’s game against Southampton.

Kun is also up for a top fans award for the season with voting closing at midday Monday - after making the final five short-list, the final voting is now underway so make sure you register your vote and help him bag the nationwide recognition he deserves.
