Man City Esports is delighted to announce Aidan ‘Threats’ Mong will represent the organisation for another year.

The United States based Fortnite pro will continue to compete in the North America region but won’t be the only American competing for City Stateside with the Club’s newest pro Joshua ‘Cold’ Butler also taking part in the North American Fortnite Championship Series competitions.

Having joined City Esports in October 2021, the 19-year-old’s talent was spotted by the Club during his exciting performances in trios, before the game transitioned to largely duo-based gameplay.

Threats has continued to go from strength to strength in the last year, winning his first LAN event in 2023 when he claimed victory at DreamHack San Diego. Threats followed this up with strong performances in FNCS alongside his duo Bugha, narrowly missing out on the title in the Chapter 4 Season 3 grand finals.

In 2024, Threats is determined to reach another FNCS Global Finals and claim the title.

“I think I’ve developed so much as a player since joining City and I can’t wait to continue that journey this year,” said Threats.

“2023 had some of my best performances since becoming a Pro and has made me extremely excited and motivated to see what I can achieve this year.

“Some friendly competition with Cold will also make competing in NA even more enjoyable, I think this is the year Man City Esports can pull off something big in Fortnite and I’m looking forward to playing a part in that.”

To celebrate Threats’ third year with Man City Esports, we have collected some images of his career with the Club to date.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Aidan on his new deal and we wish him the very best of luck competing.
