I’ve been a broadcaster for about 10 years, and during the most difficult period of my career, I took a year off. I stayed at home and watched a lot of TV, and that’s when Manchester City caught my attention.
I found the way Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne played together incredibly fascinating. I was especially impressed by the way Haaland would push through several defenders and burst forward.
I ended up watching every single match for the next year, and naturally became a fan.
My earliest memory is when Manchester City came to Korea in 2023. However, the first time I actually went to the Etihad Stadium was in November 2025.
On matchday, I wake up early and have breakfast because by the time I leave the stadium after the match, most of the shops are already closed.
Before the game, I usually visit the club’s famous merchandise store or take a stadium tour to soak up the atmosphere and excitement beforehand.
After the match, I usually go to a pub, have a famous Manchester beer or a drink, and watch another football match.
I watch and support every Manchester City match through live broadcasts together with my fans. Because I do it as a fan rather than as work, I’m incredibly happy that I can turn something I love into part of my work.
Watching football so much also made me want to play it myself, so I created and now run a women’s influencer futsal team called KIX.
Since I can’t visit the Etihad very often, I also regularly go to K League matches in person and support the teams there. I guess you could say I’ve simply become a football influencer.
Most of the people who watch my live broadcasts are football fans, so whenever I start a broadcast, we spend almost the entire time talking about football.
During the season, the matches are often in the early hours of the morning in Korea, but I still enjoy watching them and communicating with fans in real time, even with fans who have to go to work the next morning.
Sometimes we watch the matches together because we support the same team, and some fans are long-time Manchester City supporters who share their knowledge and information with me.
I once organized a private event exclusively for Manchester City fans, where we all got together and spent time watching and talking about the club.
It made me incredibly proud to see how people can come together simply through their shared love and support for one football club. As a City fan and a Citizen, it made me feel very proud.
