Matias Bonanno will take part in the second instalment of the FC Pro Open group stage tonight.

The Argentine will need to finish in the top two to secure his place in the quarter-finals.

However, City’s Esports player faces a big task after a difficult first round of games in December when he lost all four matches to leave him bottom of Group B.

Four victories tonight could see Bonanno secure a place in the last eight if he can overcome his rivals in a second round of fixtures.

PHzin, representing Ajax, tops the group ahead of his fellow Brazilian Young, followed by Happy, from Mexico, and another Argentinian in FacuCowen.

Mati is not the only Man City Esports Pro competing in the competition.

His teammate Tekkz qualified for the FC Pro Open but also had a tough start in Group D which concludes in a fortnight’s time.

He picked up a point in his opening four games and sits six behind the qualification mark.
