Manchester Remembers Charity Match: Tickets still available

Blue got the better of red in Sunday’s Manchester derby, but Manchester City and Manchester United will be joining forces in support of a worthy cause on Sunday 3 April.

A brace apiece from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez capped off a dominant display from Pep Guardiola’s men at the Etihad Stadium, as City ran out 4-1 winners.

But local bragging rights and rivalries will be put aside at the Manchester Remembers Charity match, which sees footballing legends and celebrities face each other to commemorate victims of the Manchester Arena attack.

Former City duo Paul Dickov and Shaun Goater, both synonymous with our rise back up the leagues to the top flight in the late 1990s and early 2000s, will link up with the likes of ex United stars Clayton Blackmore and Wes Brown as part of the Legends XI at the Academy Stadium.

Managed by ex-City bosses Peter Reid and Joe Royle, Dickov, Goater and co. will face a Celebrity side including Danny Miller, Paddy McGuinness and Lloyd Griffith.
