Official Supporters’ Clubs take charity headline sponsor

Manchester City’s Official Supporters Clubs have become the headline sponsor of an incredible fundraising challenge led by Academy Coach, Jamie Carr.

Jamie is undertaking a solo row across the Atlantic Ocean as part of his second challenge of his Nothing Ventured Campaign with every penny raised going towards the Club’s charity, City in the Community and Cancer Fund for Children in his native Ireland.

The OSC have become headline sponsor his campaign with the row taking place in December 2022. This will help to ensure that more funds raised through Jamie Carr’s challenge will go towards his selected charities.

Kevin Parker, General Secretary of The Official Supports Clubs and CITC Trustee said: “It is an honour to be supporting such an amazing challenge all in the name of great causes that support local people.

“Showing support for City in the Community is incredibly important due to them being so directly connected with fans and people around Manchester.

“On behalf of all of us at Manchester City’s Official Supporters Clubs, we wish Jamie the very best of luck and can’t wait to follow him on a challenge of a lifetime. We hope that as many fans as possible will get behind him.

As part of his challenge Jamie has previously completed to Marathon Des Sables which consisted of running six ultramarathons in six days across the Sahara Desert. Missed it? Watch the video below!
