These include City favourites Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, Pablo Zabaleta, Wayne Bridge, Gareth Barry, Nigel de Jong, Samir Nasri, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Stephen Ireland and Craig Bellamy, all of whom played alongside Vincent Kompany during his time in Manchester.
They will return to don the sky-blue jersey one last time at what looks set to be an unmissable event.
And two familiar Premier League stars have also been selected.
Emile Heskey, who made more than 500 appearances over his 18-year career scoring 130 goals and represented England in international football on numerous occasions, will be joined by Rafael van de Vaart, who played as an attacking midfielder for various clubs, including Real Madrid and Tottenham.
More big names will be announced in due course.
All proceeds will go to Tackle4MCR – the initiative Vinnie set up with the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, to address rough sleeping and homelessness on the streets of our city.
There will also be special guests for Vincent’s testimonial, and most importantly the chance to give a fitting farewell to a man we will forever think of as our skipper, in what is set to be an unforgettable evening.
