City U18s travel to Norwich on Saturday looking to kick off the disappointment of losing away to Blackburn last week.
Adam Sadler’s men will be looking to get back to winning ways in the clash, with a place in the knockout rounds of the competition in a tight group still very much up for grabs.
City and Norwich couldn’t be separated when they last met at Platt Lane at the start of March, drawing 1-1 after a James Horsfield penalty was cancelled out by the away side courtesy of a spectacular free-kick by Cameron McGeehan.
The match also marks another opportunity for goalkeeper Angus Gunn to face off against his former side.
The competition seems to have accordioned in National Group 2 Phase 2, with only four points separating bottom of the table Arsenal with Newcastle at the top of the pile.
City are in fifth position with 12 points and know that a win could see them climb as high as second if results are to go their way.
With this game against Norwich, then two more league fixtures left, it promises to be an exciting end to the group.
