WHAT IS THE MANCHESTER CITY Women fc ACADEMY?
Manchester City Women FC Academy hosts a U12 and U14 team plus a Pro Game Academy U19 training group of players.
Based at the Club’s CFA training complex in Manchester and working alongside the boys’ Academy programme, it is headed up by former professional player and ex-Wales women’s national team Head Coach, Jayne Ludlow, who was appointed MCWFC Academy Technical Director in May 2021.
WHAT WE DO
The Academy vision is to maximise the potential of all our players within a world-class talent pathway that stretches beyond our first team.
The offering starts with our City in the Community programmes which host players between the ages of 8-19yrs of age. The Emerging Talent Centre hosts players from Under 12 up to the Under 16 age range on individual specific development programmes. City in the Community also run a dual career Football Development and Post 16 Sports Education Programme for 16-19yr olds.
The ETC is overseen and delivered by City in the Community, For more information on City in the Community, please click here.
Our players participate in bespoke competition programmes that consist of boy’s leagues participation and mixed football provision and games which range from 3v3 to 11v11.
The academy has a proven record of enabling players to reach their full potential and reach the heights of Manchester City Women Team and other WSL senior teams alongside assisting with opportunities to play in leagues around the world.
There are several upcoming Talent ID days taking place at the City Football Academy Campus this Spring. If you or someone you know would be interested in taking part, please fill in the enquiry form below and a member of the Academy Team will be in contact.
