BRIAN WORRALL

I have been a City supporter through all the phases of my life. Born in Oldham I was first taken to Maine Road in the 60s and became a season ticket holder in 1974/5. I lived and studied in Manchester for six years and then became a longer distance fan, 400 miles to each home game.

I retained the season tickets until my son went to university in 2008 and since then, we have attended regularly as Matchday members. I have so many great memories, from the 1976 League Cup win, through the ups and downs of the lower divisions to the more recent Champions League nights. 

After a nearly 40 year career in the corporate world I feel I have the skills and experience needed for this role. I have worked in senior positions in major global organisations including sales, marketing, buying, research, corporate affairs, sustainability and safety, based both in Europe and the US.

I was the UK Country Chair of a global Energy company and President of two Trade Associations and I worked alongside Governments, Councils, Regulators and competitors. I was a board member of an industry skills body and represented Heathrow Airport retailers on the airport’s Consultative Committee. I have worked in a culturally diverse and international workforce and have a strong professional social media presence.
