Training: Rainy return for City’s international stars

Watch the best bits from City’s Thursday training session at a rainy City Football Academy.

Some of City’s international stars were greeted with the cliched Manchester welcome as they returned to training on Thursday.

Despite battling the elements, our players remained in good spirits as we gear up to return to league action on Saturday.

BARCLAYS WSL ETIHAD DERBY: GET YOUR TICKETS

We get back to the Barclays Women’s Super League campaign away to Everton on 19 November, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00pm (UK).

We will be looking to extend our run of five victories to six at Walton Hall Park, and matching our result from our last meeting with the Toffees would do just that.

Gareth Taylor’s side put four past Everton at the Academy Stadium back in March as a Simone Magill own goal was followed by strikes from Ellen White, Alex Greenwood and Laura Coombs.

Check out the best of the action from training above!

CITY V UNITED: ETIHAD DERBY

City welcome Manchester United to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 11 December.

Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 (UK), with tickets selling fast for our third-ever women's match at the Etihad.

We hosted Everton there back in May 2014, before welcoming our local rivals in September 2019, when Caroline Weir’s wonder strike saw us run out 1-0 winners in front of what was then a WSL record crowd, and what remains a club record of 31, 213 fans.

With over 30,000 tickets already sold, it promises to be another historic occasion.

You can secure your tickets online by visiting: www.mancity.com/tickets/womens or by calling: +44 (0)161 444 1894.
