The best of the action from an emphatic victory for City in the Barclays Women's Super League.

A brace apiece from Jill Roord and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw as well as Laia Aleixandri‘s first goal for the Club, saw us cruise to victory at the Joie Stadium.

All five of City’s goals were scored before the break in a devastating display of attacking football, which began when Roord headed home on the rebound after Shaw’s initial effort came crashing back off the underside of the Bristol bar.

Aleixandri doubled the advantage just after the half hour when she glanced home Alex Greenwood‘s free-kick, before Shaw got in on the act five minutes later.

There was still time for two more goals in first half stoppage time, with Roord powering home a header from Mary Fowler‘s cross, before Shaw once again was in the right place at the right time to nod into an empty net after Chloe Kelly‘s cross was parried into her path.

Gareth Taylor‘s side weren’t able to add to that impressive scoreline in the second 45 thanks to a string of fine saves from Vixens stopper Kaylan Marckese, but remained in control throughout proceedings.

And with results elsewhere falling in our favour, the win was also enough to move us to the WSL summit after three matchdays.
