Gareth Taylor was delighted that his 100th win as City manager came with such an impressive performance from his side.

After taking the reins at the Joie Stadium in May 2020, the boss has now overseen 100 wins in just 137 matches at the helm – with the century coming in a dominant display over the Hammers.

Leila Ouahabi broke the deadlock after just 24 seconds before a Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw brace before half-time handed us a commanding lead at the interval.

Late strikes from Laura Blindkilde Brown and Jess Park added the gloss to a fine afternoon as we returned to the division’s summit.

It represented the latest highlight of Taylor’s tenure which has seen him guide us to two major honours and our current pursuit of a second-ever title triumph.

And the boss was pleased at the manner of City’s win over Rehanne Skinner’s side.

“It’s amazing. I can’t believe it’s 100 wins,” he expressed.

“You just try to put one performance together, hopefully that gets you the result and it was a nice way to do it today.

“Especially where we are in terms of the final run-in. The pressure West Ham put us under today and the way the girls played through it and scored some fabulous goals.”
