To mark International Day of Education on January 24, Manchester City’s Sandy MacIver took part in a City in the Community (CITC) City Play session.

At the project, MacIver took part in a game of ‘Dinosaur’ where participants had to protect their ‘dinosaur eggs’ (footballs) from being taken by MacIver.

The game involved them using fundamental movement skills to move away from MacIver to protect the football.

Commenting on the session and the importance of physical activity from a young age, MacIver said: “I think it is really important.

“You can see from the participants here today how enthusiastic they are. I think it is really important to give them the opportunity to learn something new.”
