The two-time FIFA World Player of the Year lifted the FA Cup during her 2017 loan spell in Manchester and won the 2019 World Cup alongside Lavelle and Mewis.
She ranks City as one of the best clubs she has played for in her storied career and provided a glowing review of her time at the Academy Stadium.
“I remember them asking me - many people asking me - when I went over to City, what I thought of it and how it was,” Lloyd explained.
“I was completely honest. I said it was amazing. The players were all welcoming. Everybody at the organisation was amazing.
“It was the most top-notch club I have ever been a part of. And that on the women’s side is something that you want to play for.
“When I found out Rose and Sam were potentially going there, I reached out to Sam.
“I was really happy for them and I thought there was no better place to go than City – I am a little biased in that regard!”
Lloyd also discussed the upcoming Manchester derby and the threat posed by the Reds' American duo of Tobin Heath and Christen Press.
