The likes of Laia Aleixandri and Jill Roord have both left the Blues at the end of 2024/25, both returning to their childhood clubs in FC Barcelona and FC Twente respectively, while Chloe Kelly has also moved to Arsenal.
But the Club have moved fast to bolster the squad with Canada international defender Jade Rose and teenage Switzerland attacker Iman Beney both signing in June.
Jeglertz says that a new injection of star quality is an important part of City’s preparations for the new campaign and is excited to work with Sjogran and Managing Director Charlotte O’Neill in assembling that squad.
However, our new Head Coach was also quick to point at the world class quality already at his disposal ahead of making the move to the Joie Stadium.
“First of all, the squad is great. There is so much talent inside the group,” Jeglertz said.
“With both young and older players and experience players, the mix is great.
“Of course there is always importance in having some new, fresh players coming in. But I think Therese and Charlotte are the ones leading that.
“I can definitely put my input, but I have my full trust in the things they’re doing and that they’re doing the best for the Club and for the team.
“I totally trust the team they will build for me.”
