The Blues’ pre-season preparations continued on Saturday in an entertaining encounter at the Joie Stadium.
In a battle between the WSL and FA Cup champions and the UEFA Women’s Champions League holders, FC Barcelona took an early lead through Caroline Graham Hansen’s low effort.
The visitors then double their advantage before the break through Vicky Lopez, but City responded defiantly in the second half.

An excellent team move started the comeback, with Alex Greenwood slotting home Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s ball across goal after a swift counter attack down the right flank.
And the turnaround was completed by Grace Clinton soon after, when she cut back onto her right foot from Mary Fowler’s pass in behind and slotted home.
City could even have won it late on when Millie Burdon’s strike was ruled out for offside, before Freya Hirons flashed an effort just wide of the post.
