Signed from Derby as a scholar in July 2019, Delap made an instant impact with City Under-18’s with his blistering pace and powerful centre-forward play before penning his first professional contract in July 2020.
In the 2020/21 campaign, he made his first-team debut and scored in the Carabao Cup against Bournemouth as well as earning the PL2 Player of the Year award, following 24 goals in 20 appearances as he helped guide our Under-21s to a first-ever PL2 title success.
Of late he has had loan spells at Stoke City, Preston, Hull City ahead of a permanent transfer to Ipswich at the start of this campaign.

At Portman Road, the 21-year-old has bagged eight top-flight goals to date and Guardiola has been pleased to see the striker impress in the South East.
“He’s doing really well,” said the manager in his press conference.
“Many players came up from this Academy. They are set up perfectly in the Premier League.
“When he was here, always we thought he was a typical striker for the Premier League.
“He’s doing really well and we’re happy for him.”
