We continue our countdown of 10 of the best pre-season friendlies in Manchester City’s recent history with an action-packed 5-3 win over Chelsea in May 2013.

Strikes from Gareth Barry and Samir Nasri had sent City in 2-0 to the good at the break.

Though Ramires narrowed the deficit almost straight from the restart, James Milner quickly restored our two-goal cushion.

Ramires then struck again for his second goal of the game before Nasri then followed suit.

And though Juan Mata fired in to make it 4-3, Edin Dzeko sealed the deal with a fine long-range effort as our Stateside trip ended with high fives…
