Pep Guardiola believes every Premier League team will be fighting for specific objectives during the business end of the season.

Currently sitting third in the league table, only three points behind leaders Liverpool, City next lock horns with Aston Villa as our relentless pursuit of a historic fourth straight title triumph continues.

The clash at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 3 April at 20:15 (UK) will see the reigning champions lock horns with the Villans – who, themselves, are battling for Champions League qualification before the curtain falls on 2023/24.

With nine league matches remaining this term, the boss says every assignment will provide different challenges with much at stake across the division.

“Just winning games is what we have to do [to win trophies],” Guardiola explained.

“We have not many more chances to drop points. [There are] nine games [left].

“Villa are playing for the Champions League and every team [is] playing for something. The last games are difficult to manage. It will be [difficult] for all of us.”
