The Norwegian’s latest two goal haul against Leeds on Wednesday took his tally to 25 for the season overall – and 20 in the Premier League.
Haaland’s sensational first six months at City since his move from Borussia Dortmund have seen him shatter a host of individual goalscoring records.
But talking about the striker’s amazing impact during his pre-match press conference ahead of City’s New Year’s Eve clash at home to Everton, the boss said he felt there was even more to come.
“Hopefully he can continue improving as a football player because I have the feeling he can do better. He is young, we cannot forget that. I think he has the mindset to do it,” Guardiola said.
“If he breaks records and scores a lot it will be good, but it doesn’t mean we win games.
“We have the benefit of this. Since day one we have been delighted - not just with the goals, but for many, many things.”
