Guardiola: This win is for Colin Bell

Pep Guardiola dedicated our Carabao Cup semi-final victory at Old Trafford to Colin Bell, who passed away on Tuesday aged 74.

Bell is widely regarded as our greatest-ever player, and his passing saw an outpouring of grief across the sport.

He made 501 appearances and scored 153 goals for the Club during a 13-year stay, and in 2004 our fans voted to name a stand at the Etihad Stadium in his honour.

And Guardiola says our 2-0 win over Manchester United, which secured a fourth-successive Carabao Cup final appearance, was for Colin and his family.

"Of course, this is for Colin Bell," he said." I am sure he would be so proud. It's not about winning or losing, but playing who we are. I think Colin would like that feeling.

"This club belongs to the players and the past players made this club. we want to continue the legacy he and Mike Summerbee and many other players created.

"Today is a special day for us. It's an honour to dedicate this victory on behalf of all the team to him and his family."
