Nunes has shown his adaptability by playing in a number of roles during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
More recently, he has been playing at right back with the City boss saying he has both the defensive and attacking tributes to take on the role.
Speaking ahead of our Premier League clash away to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium at 16:30 (UK), Guardiola praised all his players for being prepared to play out of position in order to be involved.
And he says that Nunes is still learning his full-back role but has shown he is capable of making a big impact in the position.
“It could be temporary but for the problems we have, he has the pace we don’t have,” Guardiola said.
“It’s not his natural position but he’s helped us offensively and defensively and in some departments he’s learning a lot.
“He has the potential, the space we have he can play in the sides, he can do it.
“I would say that Matheus with all the players he wants to play. It doesn’t matter the position, of course every player has the positions they’re more comfortable in but I’m not complaining on that.”
